Organisation Profile

dkd Internet Service GmbH is an owner-managed Full Service Internet Agency located in Frankfurt, Germany. We are specialised in Development, Communications and Design and live and love the ›Open Source‹ idea. Since our foundation in 1998 we have evolved to a successful and sought-after TYPO3 agency. We have demonstrated our expert knowledge in more than 400 projects working for over 100 clients.
We think of ourselves not only as TYPO3 professionals. Our multi disciplinary team consists of 47 developers, designers and marketing experts who offer everything which can make a good website a perfect one: starting with conception, followed by development up to operations.

Role in the project

dkd has two major roles in the project:

• It will lead the organizational use case, including the integration of ForgetIT into TYPO3, and the organization of pilot evaluations with selected customers
• It will act as communication link to the TYPO3 community, raising awareness of preservation issues and promoting the use of ForgetIT technology in conjunction with TYPO3.

Olivier Dobberkau

Olivier Dobberkau is founder and CEO of dkd Internet Service GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany. He is President of the TYPO3 Association. He studied political sciences, law and computer sciences at university of science. Before he founded dkd he worked for American Express. He has over 11 years of experience in new media and internet. His expertise lies in the areas of project management, infrastructure and large organizations.

Søren Schaffstein

Søren Schaffstein is CEO of dkd Internet Service GmbH in Frankfurt, Germany. He is Press Officer and member of the Board of the TYPO3 Association. He holds a masters (Diplom-Informatiker, Technische Informatik) in computer science from the University of Mannheim, Germany. Before he joined dkd he worked for Knoll International (a global manufacturer of office furnishings) in London, UK and NYC/GGK (advertising agency). He has over 11 years of experience in new media and internet.
